宮島（厳島）について英語で説明【厳島神社、ニホンジカ、名物】

Miyajima is located at the westernmost tip of Hiroshima Bay in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

宮島は広島湾の最西端に位置し、広島県廿日市市にあります。

It is a small island, about 30 km in circumference.

周囲約30kmの小さな島です。

It is one of the three most  spots in Japan along with Amanohashidate in Kyoto Prefecture and Matsushima in Miyagi Prefecture.

京都府の天橋立、宮城県の松島と並び、日本三景のひとつに数えられています。

Miyajima offers different beauty in each season.

宮島は四季折々の美しさがあります。

Miyajima is also called Itsukushima.

宮島は厳島とも呼ばれています。

Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima was resistered as a World Heritage site in 1996.

It attracts many people from Japan and abroad throughout the four seasons.

宮島の厳島神社は、1996年に世界遺産に登録されました。

四季を通じて国内外から多くの人が訪れています。

In spring the cherry blossoms are beautiful, and in summer there is a gorgeous fireworks display, and the torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine with the fireworks in the background has a different charm.

春は桜が綺麗で、夏には豪華な花火大会があり、花火を背にした厳島神社の鳥居は、いつもとは違った魅力があります。

The Japanese deer inhabit Miyajima.

Currently, about 500 deer live on the island, of which about 200 are said to live in the city.

They are found in the city, but feeding them is prohibited.

宮島には、ニホンジカが生息しています。

現在、約500頭が島内に生息し、そのうち街中に約200頭が生息しているといわれています。

ニホンジカは、街中にいますが餌やりは禁止されています。

Miyajima’s oysters are famous for their large, sweet flesh for the size of their shells!

宮島の牡蠣は、殻の大きさに対して身が大きく、甘みが強いことで有名です！
