ジークレー Giclee
Giclee is derived from the French phrase meaning “to spray ink, and it came to be called so in English.
ジークレーはフランス語の「スプレーする」という意味にはじまり英語でも使われるようになりました。

シルクスクリーン Silkscreen

リトグラフ Lithograph
Lithograph is a printmaking technique that uses stone plates.
リトグラフは石を用いた印刷技法です。
Its name comes from the Greek word “lithos” meaning “stone”.
ギリシャ語の”lithos”という石を意味する言葉が由来です。
Artists draw their images on the stone using ink or crayons.
石板の上にインクやクレヨンでイメージを描きます。
Then, a special process is used to attract ink to some areas of the stone while repelling it from others.
そして、石板の一部だけインクが付着するように特別な過程で行われます。
The advantage of this is the fascinating aspect of your own drawn imagery being directly recorded onto the plate and transferred onto paper.
